Injuries and constant roster shuffling continue to be a theme as of late for the Milwaukee Brewers. The latest player to go on the IL was infielder Mike Brosseau. Pablo Reyes was recalled as a result.
Brosseau was unavailable for the Brewers thrilling come from behind victory on Thursday night. To replace him is Reyes, who saw major league playing time last year with the Crew. For Reyes, the callup came at a good time as he had a great month of May with the Nashville Sounds. In May he hit over .300 with an OPS north of .900.

Hours prior to Thursdays game, Omar Narvaez was placed on the COVID-IL. With very little time to get a second catcher to Milwaukee, the Brewers added Alex Hall from the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Hall is the backup catcher for the Timber Rattlers. Today, the Brewers removed him from the 40-man roster and brought up Alex Jackson from the Nashville Sounds.
The last two players who were impacted by the latest moves were Peter Strzelecki and Luke Barker. Strzelecki made his Brewers debut Thursday and threw two innings. He was optioned back down and a fresh arm in Barker was promoted. Barker is still looking to make his major league debut.
The Brewers have done a great job of managing this tough stretch in which several players have missed game time. Hopefully those on the IL can start returning to game action soon.
